Website Privacy Notice · Last updated: 12 September 2026
1. Who we are and the scope of this notice
Steelco Gujarat Limited (SGL, we, us) operates this website. Our registered office is Plot No. 2, GIDC Estate, Palej, Bharuch 392220, Gujarat, India. This notice covers personal information processed through this website and related enquiries handled in our in-house CRM. Separate notices may apply to employment, supplier onboarding or contractual transactions.
2. Information we collect
When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, enquiry type and message you provide, and optional company and phone details. Product enquiries may include specifications, quantities, delivery locations and business requirements. Careers enquiries may contain information you choose to share. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, medical information or other sensitive information through the general enquiry form unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
3. Technical information and browser storage
Our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, request times, browser/device details, requested pages and security or error logs to deliver and protect the website. Browser storage supports functions such as language selection, navigation transitions and privacy preferences. See our Cookie Notice for the current controls and third-party content.
4. How we use information
We use enquiry information to respond to requests, discuss products or quotations, route investor or careers enquiries to the relevant team, maintain business correspondence, prevent misuse and comply with applicable obligations. Enquiry records may be entered into our in-house CRM for these purposes. Submitting an enquiry is not consent to unrelated advertising. Where a processing activity requires consent, we seek it separately; where applicable law permits another basis, we use information only within that basis.
5. Optional analytics and advertising
Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel are not currently enabled. If introduced, optional analytics or advertising technologies will remain blocked until the relevant choice is accepted. We will update this notice and the preference controls before activation. Enquiry form contents will not be sent to advertising platforms as part of the current website configuration.
6. Who may receive information
Relevant SGL personnel may access information to handle your request. Netlify provides website hosting and form processing in the current configuration. Technology providers supporting hosting, email, security and our business systems may process information for their service roles. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or authorities when necessary for applicable obligations or claims. External services opened from the website, including WhatsApp, LinkedIn and optional TradingView content, operate under their own notices. External font/content providers receive technical request information when their resources load.
7. Processing locations
SGL handles information in India. Providers may process or store information in other countries, depending on their services and infrastructure. Any transfer must meet applicable legal requirements. Contact the grievance officer for questions about providers and overseas processing relevant to your enquiry.
8. Retention
We retain inactive website enquiries for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, then delete or anonymise them unless a documented continuing purpose or legal requirement justifies further retention. Enquiries that become customer, supplier, employment or statutory records are managed under the applicable business and legal retention requirements. Records needed for a legal hold, dispute or regulatory obligation may be retained for that purpose. This period applies to enquiry records held in our CRM and by service providers on our behalf; deletion must also be managed through the applicable backup lifecycle.
9. Security and confidentiality
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the information and applicable requirements, including controlled access and safeguards intended to prevent unauthorised use or disclosure. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Suspected privacy or security incidents may be reported to the grievance officer. We will respond to incidents in accordance with applicable obligations.
10. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request access to information about your enquiry, correction of inaccurate details, deletion when no continuing basis requires retention, or withdrawal of consent for consent-based processing. Rights and available remedies depend on the law applicable at the time of the request. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing and may limit our ability to provide a requested service. We may need proportionate verification before acting, and will explain any applicable limitation or retention requirement. You can also change optional website preferences through Cookie preferences in the footer.
11. Children
This website is intended for business and professional use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information through general enquiries. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so that we can assess and address it under applicable law.
